I do not have words to lessen the sadness and pain that members of our communities face today.
This week, in a moment of silence and solidarity, PrescribeWellness will reflect on those affected most by the upheaval of discriminatory actions and racial inequality. George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, and Breonna Taylor are just three names in a span of generations of untimely and unjust deaths. In this moment, we reflect on the lives of these individuals, and so many more who remain unnamed.
As a collective group of like-minded, yet diverse individuals, we recognize that our strengths are rooted in our differences. Through the varying experiences and perspectives of our valued team members, PrescribeWellness is able to offer personal support to our valued community pharmacy partners. In pursuit of our mission to inspire collaboration for better health, we continue to use our collective voice to elevate the role of pharmacist.
We must now use our voice to peacefully support those who are disenfranchised.
To our Black community – we see you. We see the incredible challenges you face each and every day. We see the racial indifference you remain subject to, and the access to care in which Black communities remain deprived.
For the pharmacists we serve, who provide frontline critical care to communities in need, we stand firmly with you as you provide accessible care to those who need it most. In our stance against racism, we stand with you.
To the business owners who have dedicated their lives to providing a trusted, neighborhood healthcare destination, and who have been impacted by the civil unrest, we grieve with you in this time of loss. Be assured that we are with you, and your communities, as you begin to rebuild for our better tomorrow.
In this time of division, both in proximity and perspective, our team members are at the ready to help strengthen the connection between community and pharmacy.
We continue to recognize the critical role of the pharmacist as the nation’s most accessible healthcare provider. Through our organization’s own ‘Mission Day’, personal time dedicated to deepening community relations, PrescribeWellness is actively supporting volunteerism for healing communities.
If your community is in need, please connect with us today to learn how PrescribeWellness can support you during these challenging times and help ensure the continuation of accessible care.
