PrescribeWellness Takes Steps to Ensure Medication Synchronization Tools Are Available to All of its Pharmacy Customers
November 18, 2014 (Aliso Viejo, CA) – PrescribeWellness, the SaaS, cloud-based platform that delivers efficient patient communications and actionable solutions to community pharmacists, can now ensure access to its medication synchronization tools for all of its pharmacy customers.
The company finalized an agreement with Walgreens to license their U.S. patents around the various methods of automated prescription alignment or medication synchronization.
“Our automated medication synchronization module, called StarWellness, provides the pharmacy industry’s most efficient and effective method of enrolling patients in the medication synchronization process,” said PrescribeWellness President, Al Babbington. “Furthermore, the PrescribeWellness development team uses the latest technology to ensure that our clients have the most intuitive user interface, the greatest functionality, and the best-in-class approach to continuous product enhancements.”
“We wanted to assure that our valued customers could use our StarWellness technology under the safety of U.S. patent laws,” added Babbington.
“Once we started using StarWellness, we were able to identify and target patients that were ideal for our synchronization program,” said Max Caldwell, owner of Caldwell Discount Drug in Wynne, AK. “We’ve accelerated patient enrollment tenfold over our prior method. Plus, we are now proactively filling prescriptions versus reacting to the demands of the day. Our workload is smoother, especially on Mondays. This is the easiest thing we’ve done in pharmacy in a long time.”
Outside of this license agreement, PrescribeWellness has no other relationship with Walgreens. PrescribeWellness remains a champion of independent pharmacies and will continue to develop and deliver solutions that allow independent pharmacies to compete favorably in this changing health care environment.
